FAQ's

The Dhoti Ceremony (also known as Upanayana or Munji) is a traditional Hindu rite of passage where a young boy is initiated into education and spiritual life. It marks the wearing of the sacred thread (Janeu) and a dhoti, symbolizing maturity and responsibility.

The ceremony is usually performed when a boy is between 7-14 years old, but customs vary. Auspicious dates are often chosen based on the Hindu calendar (Muhurat).
